1987 Brock Bathurst Commodores - BROCK MAKES IT NINE!

Biante Model Cars are pleased to display the first prototype images of the 1987 Brock Bathurst Commodores.
1987 was a tumultuous year for Brock. After falling out with Holden top brass over the Energy Polariser and the HDT Director, Brock managed to get two Commodores to the start line of the '87 James Hardie 1000, entered under the name of HDT Racing Pty Ltd.
The 1987 classic also was the first, and last time the World Touring Car Championship visited Mount Panorama.
Early into the race Brock's #05 Commodore retired with engine problems. He, along with his co-driver David Parsons, jumped across into the #10 sister car to complete the race, eventually crossing the line third behind the two European Texaco Eggenberger Sierras. The subsequent disqualification of both Sierras due to illegal body work was to ultimately deliver the race win to the Mobil HDT #10 car albiet not until well into 1988, once Brock was already taking to the track in M3 BMW's.
The result would hand Brock his ninth and final Bathurst 1000 victory.
Both these Commodores will feature in the Biante Peter Brock Collection, with the #10 Mobil HDT car also adding to the Biante Bathurst Winners Collection.
No date has been provided for release of these models.
Keep your eye on our blog for further updates as they come to hand.
